Preston & Barbieri flies high
Published:  01 October, 2006
The Flying Arturo ride at Mirabilandia in Italy

Two new flying rides from Preston & Barbieri opened this summer at amusement parks in Europe, both featuring guest-activated pneumatic lifting mechanisms.

At Ravenna in Italy, Mirabilandia guests have been soaring into the sky aboard 7 four-seater rabbits on the new Arthur & Fanny ride. In Scotland, meanwhile, M&D’s near Glasgow debuted a ride of the same capacity but instead featuring 14 two-seater elephant cars.

Additionally, a giant, 8- metre-tall elephant figure sites in the centre of the ride. The attraction was featured in the last issue of Park World, where it was incorrectly identified as being built by another manufacturer. Apologies for any confusion.
