Now in its seventh year, more than 1,000 amusement industry professionals are expected at the IAAPI Trade Show in Mumbai, India, this February.

The three-day event, promoted by the Indian Association of Amusement Parks and Industries (IAAPI) will be the largest exhibition of amusement and leisure equipment in the Asian subcontinent.

A comprehensive range of products and services will be offered by exhibitors from Argentina, Belgium, Canada, China, Dubai, Germany, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Singapore, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, the USA and of course India.

According to IAAPI, the amusement industry in India is on the verge of an explosive growth, currently expanding by more than 25 per cent. “IAAPI 2007 provides an exciting opportunity for industry leaders to discuss several critical issues related to the amusement industry. The show, besides facilitating business transactions, also provides exposure to international trends.”

IAAPI is also striving to get the amusement business acknowledged as a vital part of India’s social infrastructure. The resultant exemption from entertainment tax would serve as an immense boost to the industry through increase in volumes as a result of lower ticket prices. Stay tuned.

Founded in 1999, IAAPI has already played a pivotal role in the development of inbound and domestic tourism and has generated significant development in this sector. The association’s existence has been essential to bringing the entire amusement industry under one umbrella and giving it a united voice.

The IAAPI Trade Show 2007 takes place at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, from February 21 to 23.
