A new amusement ride manufacturers’ collective has been formed in Italy, uniting 10 suppliers from the Veneto region. Marco Polo Amusements Specialists aims to promote and gain state support for its members for participation in trade shows and other activities. There are also plans to open a showroom for member companies’ products in China.
While the new group is not intended to be a competitor to the existing ANCASVI suppliers’ association, president Fabio Martini of Technical Park notes that several key manufacturers are no longer ANCASVI members.
The companies chosen are largely non-competitive, with the only significant overlap being between certain products offered by Zamperla and Technical Park, and two fireworks suppliers.
The 10 firms in full are Zamperla (family rides to compact coasters), Technical Park (family rides and thrill rides), Dotto Trains (people movers), Park Rides (carousels/children’s rides), B Park (slides and showman’s caravans), Neon Cuoghi (lighting), Parente (fireworks), Calp (associate company of Zamperla making kiddie rides), Auxel (industrial automation) and FAS (fireworks).
