Pax Design of Moscow is tofinally realise its dream of completing a Panoramic Wheel with restaurant gondolas. The hubless ride will be built to a unique design and tower 45-metres tall in the Black Sea resort of Sochi.
The wheel will feature a total of 24 gondolas, 20 of which will be accommodate six people each and be enclosed for dining, while the remaining four will be open. In total the ride will entertain up to 1,480 passengers per hour. It is scheduled to open this coming spring.
Opening around the same time will be a new Cobra rollercoaster at Conny-Land in Switzerland. The boomerang-style ride will be constructed with a section escaping out into the car park. In 2006, Pax delivered 10 major amusement , this in addition to its ongoing work for the Russian space programme. Among the amusement industry deliveries were a 31-metre Panoramic Wheel for the city of Orenburg, Mars giant swings for both Krasnoyarsk and Yekaterinburg, all in Russia, and a 25-metre freefall tower for a customer in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine.
