Technical Park to construct coasters

Technical Park is to start production of compact coasters. The Italian company announced plans last year for a ‘Baby Aviator’ kiddie/family coaster and now intends also to build a family ride called the Rock ‘n’ Roll Coaster.

Previously Technical Park had arrangements to sell coasters on behalf of L&T Systems, but the new rides are being designed and assembled in-house.

This spring the manufacturer will finally unveil its long-awaited Flying Fury project. The interactive propeller ride, described as a “live flight simulator,” in which passengers control the vertical or horizontal rotation of their plane vehicle, is expected to debut March or April at Luna Euro Park, Idroscalo, Milan. Riders can also put the plane into ‘emergency mode’ so that it reverts to an automatic programme.

At the very early stages of design is an as yet unnamed ride capitalising on the current giant Wave Swinger trend. The 8-car, 16-seater ride will be aimed at the family market and features a hydraulic rather than tower lift.

Finally, Technical Park plans some new additions to its range of giant Ferris Wheels. A 60-metre version will feature new, enclosed cabins in the currently popular ‘ski lift’ style and is aimed at parks and city centres. A new 33-metre ride, meanwhile, is intended principally for the travelling market, packing onto two trailers. This ride too will feature a new style gondola.
