Schlitterbahn Waterpark Resort, New Braunfels, Texas, has debuted Pirate's Plunder, or AquaQuest, a waterpark version of Creative Kingdoms’ MagiQuest treasure hunt game.
Using an “AquaGlove” (instead of magic wand), players complete challenges and earn points as they navigate their way around the facility in search of a mysterious red crystal.
“We are excited to test this new prototype experience at Schlitterbahn,” explains Aqua Kingdoms president Carin Brown. “We’ve combined state-of-the art water effects, wireless technology and waterproof infrared AquaGloves to offer families the next generation of live-action waterpark gaming adventures.”
