Designed to enhance child safety at parks and attractions, as well as presenting a potential new revenue stream, the Childminder wristband is a secure device which sends an electronic signal to venue operators when a child leaves without their parent or guardian. It also ensures that missing children are quickly reunited with their parent of guardian by linking their mobile phone number to the wristband.

The product has been designed for use in conjunction with existing technology and so is cost effective to install. It also does not require any batteries or maintenance.

“We are sure that it won’t be long before this system becomes commonplace,” says Belinda Griffiths of Wonderland adventure park in Telford, England, which is already using the system.

This visitor to Wonderland was impressed: “This is an absolutely fantastic idea. My son Ben loves wearing the band and I feel safer that if we become separated we would be reunited a lot quicker. Ben can’t leave the park without alarms going off at the exits, which is very reassuring.”
