Steel Pier secures long-term lease
The Catanoso family has secured a new long-term lease with Trump Entertainment to operate the Steel Pier in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The agreement means the Catanosos can now concentrate on building up the park after years of planning one season at time.
“We are excited to have negotiated this long term contract with and are now in the middle of a new masterplan for Steel Pier,” confirms Tony Catanoso. “Here's to the future!”
The 2009 season was surprisingly successful, adds Catanoso: “Given the state of our local and national economy, I think many of us were bracing for the worst! Fortunately we can say we edged ahead of 2008. That is a major victory here in Atlantic City. In an era where "flat is the new up" we feel darn lucky!”
