Animal Maze opens in Hong Kong
Amazing Asian Animals, the first major new attraction to be completed under Ocean Park’s HK$5.55 billion redevelopment plan, was set to open at the popular Hong Kong attraction on April 30. To launch the new exhibit, Ocean Park also unveiled two new mascots called Later Gator and Goldie the goldfish.
Described as eight attractions in one, the new exhibit is located beside the Ocean Terminal Forecourt and includes giant pandas, red pandas (pictured), Chinese giant salamanders, Chinese alligators, Asian small-clawed otters, birds and goldfish. As well as the creatures themselves, interesting commentary on provided on each of their characteristics, habitats and conservation insights.
As part of the new attraction, guests can also enjoy a new dining experience in the shape of Panda Café, which features a host of popular Southeast Asian dishes, as well as the Panda Kingdom Shop.
