New waterpark for Malaysia
Whitewater West is designing and supplying a new waterpark in Kedah, Malaysia, due to open later this month. The Carnival Water and Land of Excitement park, the only waterpark in Kedah, forms part of the Cinta Sayang Golf and Country Resort in Sungai Petani.
The developer is the Eupe Corporation. Officials say the park will complement existing activities at the resort that include archery, horse-riding, paintball and sports and gymnasium facilities.
“Right now, we are targeting Japanese and Korean parents, whose children have winter holidays and are eager to escape the bitter cold of the winter season in their home countries,” says Cinta Sayang executive director Yeong Chee Fun. “Generally, Penangites are quite short of time.”
