Wanna ride a centrifuge?
Established by EnTCo’s parent company Entertainment Technology Corporation (ETC) and launching in January 2007, the National Aerospace Training & Research (NASTAR) Center will be a unique facility outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, for the aerospace community – and thrill seekers.
In addition to providing instruction for military and civilian pilots from around the world, the NASTAR Center is the only facility in the US for comprehensive suborbital and orbital space flight training.
This is made possible in part by the amazing array of equipment, including a 15 G human centrifuge, an altitude chamber that simulates the atmosphere up to 100,000ft, an ejection seat trainer that doesn’t knock you out of your seat (it sends the seat with you) and a 4-axis, 360 degree 2.5G, spatial-disorientation centrifuge that could make you the pilot in a 747 flying upside down. Groups and individuals will be able to come directly to the NASTAR Center to test their mettle on these extreme adventure travel challenges. The NASTAR Center, combined with the power of EnTCo’s ‘Ride Works’ development capabilities, also makes proven motion platforms available for experimentation of new attraction concepts.
