Indiana Beach, Monticello, Indiana, will this spring introduce the state’s first major steel coaster, Steel Hawg (sic). From S&S Worldwide, the new attraction will be Indiana Beach’s sixth rollercoaster and its first to take riders upside-down.

Rising 96ft above ground, Steel Hawg will feature a 120-degree first drop at speeds reaching 41 mph.

“The coaster will be a very distinctive ride with tight turns, 90-degree banks, multiple inversions and one-of-a-kind element,” says Indiana Beach’s Tom Spackman Jnr. “However, with a height limit of 48 inches, it’s also a ride designed for families to enjoy together."

One of the largest ride investments in Indiana Beach’s history, Steel Hawg will be located on the north side of the park near the popular Hoosier Hurricane and Rocky’s Rapids Log Flume rides. The ride will open mid-May.
