Free food at Kennywood

First Holiday World in Indiana did it with drinks, but more recently Kennywood in Pennsylvania offered a startling perk for those who attended its Phantom Fright Nights' Preview in September: Free food.

They were offered not just free popcorn or cotton candy, but all food and beverage items, like funnel cakes, burgers, ice cream and fries.

According to Kennywood Entertainment president Peter McAneny, "Phantom Fright Nights, our highly successful haunted park experience, builds in attendance as we approach Halloween. While considering various ways to promote the earlier Preview Night, we remembered countless guests saying things like, 'My personal thrill ride is the Potato Patch.’ I have no doubt those guests will be thrilled that Kennywood is acting somewhat wild and crazy by offering free food."
