Waterworld USA shuts
HolidayWaterworld USA, the 14-acre Caribbean water park in Sacramento, California, has closed. The 25-year-old park had floundered periodically since its inception.
Six Flags has operated the park since 1996 but decided earlier this year to cancel its lease. The company had contracted to operate the park through to 2015, but closed it for good in late September. Officials from State Fair are now talking with other parties about running the state-owned property.
