Zamperla rides for Kennywood
Kennywood, West Mifflin, Pennsylvania, has introduced its newest thrill ride, Cosmic Chaos (pictured). A Mega Disk 'O' from Zamperla, it seats 24 people upon motorcycle-like pedestals on a giant spinning disc.
Pete McAneny, Kennywood Entertainment president, after riding a prototype at the IAAPA trade show, described the ride sensation as “totally different than anything I've ever experienced.”
Cosmic Chaos, as its name indicates, includes some UFO theming. So does the new gift shop, located next to the ride in the former guest services building. A replacement guest services is now located just down the midway.
Those not quite up to the Disk ‘O’ can try another ride from the same family. The SS Kenny is a Rockin' Tug from Zamperla located in the park’s Kiddieland area.
