Man swallows sword underwater
Sword swallower Dan Meyer recently became the first person in North America to swallow a sword underwater. We hear he’s popular at dinner parties.
Taking it to the hilt, Dan swallowed a 24-inch-long (60cm), solid steel blade while submerged 15ft below the surface of a tank filled with live sharks and stingrays at Ripley’s Aquarium in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina on May 18. Meyer swallowed the 24 inches of solid steel while surrounded by more than 80 sharks and stingrays in 85,000 gallons of salt water.
