Seay meets Hawking
Jim Seay (pictured), president and owner of Premier Rides Inc, joined renowned theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking recently in experiencing “weightlessness” in a plane flight operated by the Zero Gravity Corp in Florida.
Taking off from a landing strip at the Kennedy Space Center, the modified Boeing 727-200, soared to 32,000ft at a sharp angle and then plunged 8,000ft allowing Hawking, Seay, and others, to experience 25 – 30 seconds of zero gravity.
As well as having a life long interest in astronomy and manipulating G forces to develop cutting edge rollercoasters, Seay has also worked to develop regulations for improved disability access to theme park rides and attractions in the US.
