One of Blackpool’s classic rides is up and running one again and looking better than ever following a reported £750,000 renovation.
The Pleasure Beach’s Derby Racer – a suped-up carousel and family favourite – has been closed since the end of last season but reopened in time for the May Day holiday thanks to the hard work of the Pleasure Beach restoration team and Phillip England, the rides original architect. Phillip created the ride over a two-year period in 1959
