Nickland debuts at Movie Park
Nickland, the first ever Nickelodeon-themed kids area in Europe, has opened in time for Easter at Movie Park, Bottrop, Germany. The 15,000 square metre zone, inspired by the ‘Nick’ children’s television channel, features characters such as SpongeBob Square Pants, Jimmy Neutron and Dora the Explorer.
Two key attractions anchor the new land: SpongeBob Splash Bash, a 3DBA Splash Battle, and Jimmy Neutron’s Atomic Flyer, a Suspended Family Coaster with new look cars from Vekoma Rides Manufacturing (pictured). They will are joined by Dora’s Adventure Express, Danny Phantom’s Ghost Zone, Teenage Robot Roundabout, Backyardigans Hip Hopper and Nick Speed Racers.
Nickland is one of two new areas added for 2007, the other Santa Monica Pier, which was officially opened on May 18.
