Management change at Worlds of Fun
Following the $1.24 billion acquisition of Paramount Parks by parent company Cedar Fair LP, management has changed at Worlds of Fun, Kansas City, Missouri. H Phillip Bender has been promoted to regional vice-president for Cedar Fair, Frank Wilburn to vice-president and general manager at Worlds of Fun, and Matt Steere to director of retail at Worlds of Fun.
As regional vice-president, Bender is responsible for overseeing five venues including Worlds of Fun/Oceans of Fun in Kansas City, Geauga Lake & Wildwater Kingdom near Cleveland, Ohio, Paramount Canada’s Wonderland outside Toronto, Canada, Paramount’s Kings Island near Cincinnati, Ohio, and Star Trek The Experience in Las Vegas. Bender began his career with Cedar Fair in the early 70s.
