L&T Systems from Italy was due to complete a new family coaster at an island sea resort in Vietnam before Christmas. Then, in the new year, it will deliver a couple of junior coasters, to customers in France and Italy respectively.

Meanwhile the Reggio Emilia-based company is to redesign is Splash Coaster, an apparent hit on the Spanish carnival circuit, making it more compact and affordable. “The ride is working very well in Spain,” declares L&T chairman Andrea Mazzeranghi, “everywhere it goes it is proving popular. But is a big proposal for some customers.” The new, slim line Splash Coaster will have a footprint of roughly 36 x 20 metres, operating with five four-seater cars, but still include the same basic ride elements: A ‘Wild Mouse’ style layout climaxing in a splashdown into a water channel below.
