Center Parcs to trial ‘experimental’ new format
European holiday village operator Center Parcs is to open an “experimental” new venue one hour north east of Paris in 2007, according to creative director Michel Linot-Frion.
“We will take the Center Parcs components apart and reassemble them,” he says. Certain features are likely to stay, however, including the glass roof, natural daylight, water play and a ‘natural’ environment.
However, the venue is not expected to be as radical as the “next generation” Center Parcs being planned for Moselle in France in 2009 where, Linot-Frion says, “housing/lodging will play a big part.”
