Zamperla develops Hydro Lift
The new Hydro Lift from Zamperla is being offered as the next generation of family water rides. A channel and a raft from the ride, as well as a model, were shown at IAAPA in Atlanta.
Debuting soon in Spain, this new water ride seats six riders per raft. Once loaded, the rafts are dispatched and raised vertically on a specially designed elevator lift system to a height of over 30ft, where they begin an exciting water propelled downhill plunge.
The elevated fibreglass trough twists through several turns before shooting the rafts into a splash pool. Rafts then navigate a lower level river section full of waves and rapids before returning to the loading station. Hydro Lift comes with two lifts and has an hourly capacity of 864 passengers.
