New CEO for Fårup Sommerland

Per Dam Jensen (pictured) has been appointed CEO of the Danish amusement park Fårup Sommerland, starting April 1. The 49-year-old will succeed Søren Kragelund, who is selling his shares in the North Jutland tourist attraction to partner Henrik Schnack, and brings with him many years of management experience in the music and entertainment industries. He has worked at Fårup before, as a seasonal employee and human resources manager, returning as CEO and board member in 2012/13, before joining the film and music company Sandrew Metronome.

“We are very pleased to announce Per as our new CEO,” confirms Fårup Sommerland chairman Ole Mølgaard. “He knows Fårup, we know him and we know what he stands for. His previous experience means he can quickly take up the position, and the new owners and board are confident they have found the right person for the position.”

“I have previously stated that to lead Fårup Sommerland was a dream position – and it still is,” says Per Dam Jensen himself. “The park has a special place in my heart, and even though I’m very happy with my current job, I was incredibly pleased to be approached and asked if I was interested in leading Fårup. I look forward to helping to create many great experiences and memories in the years to come.”
