Lotte Water Park

Billed as “the Polynesian island in the South Pacific, Lotte Water Park opened this May in Gimhae, Busan, attracting impressive attendance figures form the start.

The latest leisure project from the Lotte Group, the long-awaited 120,000 square-metre waterpark is the equivalent of 17 soccer fields and filled with impressive waterslides and attractions from WhiteWater, in addition to Korea’s largest outdoor and indoor wave pools, at 135m and 35m in width respectively. WhiteWater’s contribution includes its largest ever AquaPlay interactive play structure in the country (2,000 sq m) and its first ever indoor Rattler and favourites like a Tornado and Abyss slide.

Additional facilities include a Tiki Island spa, four cabana villages, restaurants, cafes and gift shops. As well as Lotte’s popular Lorry and Lorry characters, guests can meet a brand new mascot created especially for the waterpark, Lokky the wooden the wooden doll.

Daily attendance of up to 18,000 guests per day had been recorded, placing the park on course for a placing in the worldwide top waterpark rankings. Lotte Water Park will remain open year-round. A second and a third phase expansion are already confirmed, and WhiteWater is on board for both.
