Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut has announced the opening of Thrill Tower at Foxwoods. Provided by Stan Checketts’ Soaring Eagle, the brand-new, extreme attraction includes two new rides, the Sky Drop and Sky Launch.
On the Sky Drop, four riders at a time are lifted to the top of Thrill Tower before free-falling 120 feet to the bottom. This ride uses a magnetic breaking system to safely ensure a smooth, yet gripping free-fall experience. Sky Launch propels two riders sitting back-to-back from the ground to the top of Thrill Tower and back again at high speed.
Foxwoods is also opening the HighFlyer Zipline, by Redwood Parks, a 33-story high adventure that launches guests 3,700 feet at a top speed of 60mph, to celebrate its 25th anniversary.
