Four new rides for Playland’s Castaway Cove

Playland’s Castaway Cove, Ocean City, New Jersey, is preparing for its 60th year of operation by adding four new rides for the 2019 season. Owner Scott Simpson is replacing his old Double Shot from S&S-Sansei with a new one. It has updated technology and a new colour scheme. The Matterhorn, a music express flat ride from Bertazzon, will join the midway. Squadron 66 from Technical Park is an interactive airplane style circular ride with a rudder controlled by the passengers to adjust the gondola movements. A new three-lane Super Slide from Dartron, upon which visitors climb to the top, sit on a piece of burlap, and slide down powered by gravity, is a long-time favourite that returns after an extended absence. In addition to the new rides, the High Seas log flume by L&T is undergoing a complete renovation.
