Europa-Park announces Spring line-up

There are a number of exciting events awaiting visitors to Europa-Park this Spring. From 19 to 22 April 2019, guests young and old can explore the Easter village in the Swiss themed area and participate in the many hands-on activities.

One week later, on April 27th and 28th, Ed & Edda’s Spring Festival will also be celebrated for the first time, which will also take place in the Swiss theme area and where the popular characters of the Europa-Park will have some surprises in store.

The ‘Church in Europa-Park’ commemorates this Easter with another special feature: The Bishop of the Evangelical Church and the Bishop of the Archdiocese of Freiburg welcome all those interested to an ecumenical Easter Monday worship service on April 22 at the “Colosseo” adventure hotel.

In the Swiss theme area, around the Valais village, children and adults can look forward to colourful floral decorations and exciting hands-on activities. In addition to the traditional egg-running there is also a “rabbit make-up studio” in the Easter village, where the little visitors are transformed into junior Easter bunnies.

In addition, the children’s theatre of Pfiffikus offers great fun and those who would like to send their loved ones a spring greeting can take part in the mail campaign ‘Send Easter greetings’. A highlight this year is the search for the golden egg: In the Europa Park, five golden Easter eggs are hidden every day.

On Easter Monday, Europa-Park will also hold an ecumenical service. For this purpose, the ‘Church in Europa-Park’ welcomes all interested parties at 2.30pm in the “La Scala” room of the 4-star superior “Colosseo” hotel. The focus is on the quote from the Gospel of Luke “And did not burn our hearts.” Regional Bishop Prof. dr. Jochen Cornelius-Bundschuh from the Evangelical Church of Baden and Archbishop Stephan Burger from the Archdiocese of Freiburg put the meeting of the disciples with the risen Jesus Christ at the centre. The service is accompanied by the ‘Gospelsingers Rheinhausen’, who complete the Easter Monday celebration with their soulful and rousing music.

The following weekend (27-28 April), Ed and Edda will invite guests, for the first time, to a Spring Festival. Many exciting play stations and a sea of flowers will await visitors both large and small in the Valais village.
