Eden’s Eye opens at Drusillas

Drusillas Park in England has replaced its old Bug World attraction with a maze courtesy of theming specialist Meticulous.

Based on the four elements of earth, air, fire and water, Eden’s Eye is a “sensory maze” that challenges guests to find a hidden garden with a golden tree. Added features include a talking statue, magic lamp, music, water effects and other surprises.

“We wanted the maze to be a themed delight,” explains Meticulous director Dean Weal, “somewhere visitors could really enjoy losing themselves, not a frustrating waste of time like so many of the mazes we visited while doing our research.”

The beautiful flooring throughout the attraction is an example of the attention to detail employed by Weal and her colleagues. The maze was designed to provide equal access and enjoyment for both able-bodied and disabled visitors alike, with wide walkways suitable for wheelchairs.

Based in East Sussex, Drusillas features a mix of animals, adventure play areas and other attractions including a Thomas & Friends themed railway.
