Christmas in Tivoli

Due to start on November 12, the six-week-long Christmas in Tivoli celebrations will bring festive cheer to the heart of Copenhagen.

New this year will be a 45-metre-long toboggan run (as above), where children can feel the wind in their hair when as they shoot down the slope on innertubes. The last few metres of the run are covered with a special material to stop passengers ending up in the Tivoli Lake!

Those wishing to visit Santa (and who doesn’t?) can find him inside Pixie Ville, where the Christmas Express takes passengers through a snow-covered landscape. As well as the main Christmas Market, a new market square next to the Tivoli Concert Hall will offer winter delicacies including caramelised apples, mulled wine and æbleskiver (Danish doughnuts).

Inside the concert hall, the ABBA musical Mamma Mia! will be performed in Danish for the first time. As well as guest appearances from new Tivoli resident character Rasmus Klump, there will also be music and entertainment from the Tivoli Boys Guard and the Tivoli Pixie Band.
