4D film produced for Merlin
HIT Entertainment is working with SD Entertainment and Threshold Animation Studios to produce a Bob the Builder 4D movie for Merlin Entertainments.
Debuting March 2009, Bob the Builder and the Roller Coaster will play at all four Legoland parks in Europe and the US, as well as the newer Legoland Discovery Centre “mini parks” in Germany and the US.
The storyline involves Bob building a rollercoaster out of Lego bricks, bringing the famous toy, TV series and the world of themed entertainment together in one package. Bob and his friends demonstrate teamwork and follow-through as they learn the importance of starting each building project with a plan.
The 10-minute film will be the first branded 3D production to be shown at the Legoland parks. Exclusive to Legoland for one year, it will be made available to other outlets from 2010 onwards.
