Commissioned by Fosun International and Kerzner International, Falcon’s Creative has provided thematic and interior design services for the Lost Chambers Aquarium and the Aquaventure Waterpark, a part of the new Atlantis Sanya resort situated along the Haitang Bay National Coast in China.
Inspired by the myth of the lost continent of Atlantis, Aquaventure Waterpark’s design is based around two main slide towers, which will have a unique style apart and house multiple waterslides, including a clear tube slide that takes guests directly through a shark tank.
Other elements designed by Falcon include restaurants and retail spaces, as well as an immersive environment of rock work, landscape, and hardscape work. Scenic elements such as Atlantean sculptures and murals enhance the theme, right down to the themed towel racks.
Sanya is scheduled to open at the beginning of 2018.
