Ocean Park (pictured, Hong Kong), Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk (California) and Puy du Fou (France) are in the running for this year’s Applause Award.
Presented every two years at IAAPA Attractions Expo in Orlando, the award honours a park whose management, operations and creative accomplishments have inspired the industry with their foresight, originality and sound business development.
Site visits will be made over the coming months to the short listed parks the Applause Award Board of Governors, ahead of the winner’s presentation this November in Orlando. Administered by Liseberg in Sweden, the governors are drawn from a selection of 10 parks and industry experts worldwide (see below). The winner of the last Applause Award in 2010 was Dollywood, Tennessee.
