A farewell to flippers?
As of May 5, 2018, the local government in Mexico City has prohibited attractions with dolphins in water parks. For now the decision only affects parks in the capital, but could be extended to the rest of the country, which has the largest number of dolphinariums in Latin America. The conflict between dolphinarium owners and pro-animal rights political parties is intense. Astrid González Nariño reports
